🇵🇹 Localizado na Avenida da Liberdade, com a porta nº1, o Posto de Turismo de Braga foi inaugurado a 22 de junho de 1937, sob projeto da autoria de Moura Coutinho, respeitoso arquiteto bracarense. Com o passar das décadas, tornou-se necessário repensar e reorganizar o edifício, que foi totalmente renovado no ano 2000.

Três anos depois, a 21 de fevereiro de 2003, foi inaugurado o novo Centro de Interpretação Turístico Cultural. Braga ganha, assim, um centro turístico de características inovadoras, que permite o alargamento da sua missão.

Com esta nova valência, o Posto de Turismo deixou de ter um caráter meramente turístico, para nele ser incluída uma função cultural e didática, que serve não só os turistas, mas também os cidadãos em geral, permitindo reforçar a identidade e a identificação da população com os seus próprios recursos culturais e com a própria cidade. No edifício encontra-se, ainda, a Loja Interativa de Turismo de Braga.

O Posto de Turismo oferece material turístico em 12 línguas, organiza eventos de carácter turístico, apoia instituições de solidariedade social e faculta um serviço gratuito na área da Defesa do Consumidor.

Funciona de segunda a sexta, entre as 09h00 e as 13h00 e as 14h00 e as 18h00, e sábados, domingos e feriados, das 09h30 às 13h00 e das 14h00 às 17h30. Através de marcação pelo e-mail turismo@cm-braga.pt ou telefone +351 253 262 550, são possíveis visitas guiadas ao Centro de Interpretação durante todo o ano, exceto nos meses de julho, agosto e setembro.

🇬🇧 Located on Avenida da Liberdade, with door nº1, the Braga Tourism Office was inaugurated on June 22, 1937, under a project by Moura Coutinho, a respectful architect from Braga. Over the decades, it became necessary to rethink and reorganize the building, which was completely renovated in the year 2000.

Three years later, on February 21, 2003, the new Cultural Tourist Interpretation Center was inaugurated. Braga thus gains a tourist center with innovative characteristics, which allows for the expansion of its mission.

With this new feature, the Tourist Office is no longer merely tourist, to include a cultural and didactic function, which serves not only tourists, but also the citizens in general, allowing to reinforce the identity and identification of the population with its own cultural resources and with the city itself. In the building we can also find the Interactive Tourism Store of Braga.

The Tourist Office offers tourist material in 12 languages, organizes tourist events, supports social solidarity institutions and provides a free service in the area of Consumer Protection.

It is open from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm. By making an appointment via email turismo@cm-braga.pt or telephone +351 253 262 550, guided visits to the Interpretation Center are possible throughout the year, except in the months of July, August and September.
